Andrew Ramsey of Ramsey K-9 Services

Andrew Ramsey is a former Military Working Dog Trainer with a life-long passion for interacting with canines. Andrew has trained Military Working Dogs as a Contractor for the U.S. Army, the U.S Air Force and as a U.S.A.F. Civilian at the Military Working Dog Training Center at Lackland AF Base. Andrew spent four years in the Department of Defense Breeding Program building motivation for bitework and detection in 33 litters of government-bred Belgian Malinois puppies.

Andrew left his position as Lead Trainer of the DoD Breeding Program to spend two years working as one of a handful of civilians selected to train and certify Military Working dogs at the Dog Training School, where all MWD's receive their training. There he worked with and certified numerous green dogs in Patrol and Detection before they were sent to Military Installations all around the world to work. Before leaving the MWD Training Center to move to the SF Bay Area, Andrew was one of only five, out of over eighty, trainers to be recognized by the Squadron Commander for excellence in dog production.

Andrew is also currently a certified Mondioring Decoy  and has competed successfully through level 3 as a handler as well.

Andrew's approach to training dovetails perfectly with the methods taught at the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers and we are thrilled and proud to have him teaching for us.
