Upcoming Courses

Our upcoming courses will be Live Online Only, Live In-Person Only, or Live Hybrid – Students can choose Online or In-Person attendance. Our classes will differ from many online classes in that the entirety of each course will take place live (no recorded material) which allows students to ask questions and get clarifications in the moment. Courses are spread over a longer period of time to allow for shorter days, reducing the amount of time each day that students are in front of a computer screen. All classes run between two and four hours a day, and from five to fifteen days in duration. These classes will be taught by Michael, with practical portions being run by experienced staff trainers.

In order to attend these courses students will need the following:

  • A computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera.
  • A good, reliable high-speed internet connection (wireless for courses with practical portions).
  • Wireless/Bluetooth earbuds with microphones (for courses with practical portions).
  • A tripod, or an assistant, to hold your phone or tablet (for courses with practical portions).
  • Specific training equipment lists will be provided upon registration.
  • (Obedience Intensive, Puppy Development Only)
A safe, uncluttered training area with good footing and access to Wifi, at least 25 feet by 25 feet in size.
  • (Obedience Intensive, Puppy Development Only)
An assistant for various exercises. Details will be provided regarding the role of the assistant when you register for class.

The schedule for 2021 will be:

  • Behavior Modification (Live online only)
    November 1-12, 2021 $1500
  • Proper Use of the Electronic Collar (Hybrid – Live Online or In-Person)
    January 17-21, 2022 $1200
  • Advanced Obedience 1 (In-Person Only on Santa Rosa Campus)
    January 24-February 4, 2022 $2000
  • Puppy Development (Hybrid - Live Online or In-Person)
    February 21 - March 4, 2022 $1200
  • Obedience Intensive (Hybrid - Live Online or In-Person)
    March 7 - March 25 $2200

The Puppy Development course runs M - F 9am to 12noon (PST)
All other courses run M - F 9am - 1pm (PST)

* Please note: The end times are approximate depending upon how many questions are asked at the end of class.

  • The space requirement for the practical portions is approximate. It is better for the students to have a larger space for certain drills, but we can make some accommodations if necessary. The larger space is helpful for the Obedience Intensive on the 2nd, 8th, 9th, and 14th days, in case students need to make plans.
  • An human assistant is necessary during the Obedience Intensive on the 2nd and 9th days. They do not have to be dog trainers, but it helps that your dog is comfortable with being handled by your assistant.
